Client Verification
When appointed as Verification Engineers, Burgess will witness and validate the commissioning and performance testing of all MEP services, plant and equipment to confirm that they achieve the criteria set out within the design specifications, employers requirements and all current standards, codes and practices.
By functioning independently from the commissioning management process, the verification team will provide assurance to the client and all stakeholders that the project has been tested, commissioned, integrated and completed to the highest possible standards.
The role will typically include the following key elements:
- Review all commissioning related documentation
- Review the testing and commissioning process and plan
- Identify risks to the project and any potential opportunities
- Review and report against installation progress
- Review trade contractors method statements
- Attend regular commissioning meetings
- Attend off-site and factory witness tests
- Witness system pre-commissioning and setting to work activities
- Witness commissioning activities
- Witness of all integrated system testing
- Witness of all performance / environmental testing
- Witness testing of life safety systems in conjunction with relevant Statutory Authorities
- Provide detailed reports to the client at agreed frequency
- Issue a final summary report to the project team confirming that the services have been correctly installed and commissioned to specification
- Identify any outstanding works, snags or potential latent risks
